It is not often you know you are in the presence of a muse. If you ever had the chance to know Pam Sexton, you have been with a muse. She has inspired a large and growing body of visual art by her son Martin (Graham) Coffeen, as well as many an evening full of music by her long time companion Steve Cary and his band Romagossa Blú. On October 5, 2007, Pam died following a short, hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 53.
Thanks to everybody who contributed to the Pam Sexton Memorial Benefit and Fund. The turnout was truly overwhelming. Thanks also to those who could not attend, but who graciously contributed financially. Many people contributed their time and expertise to make the Benefit a reality, including Duncan Pryce, Tracy Roberts and John "Fuzz" Gillogley, Black Cat Bone, The Java Tones, and Retread. Thanks to all of you.
Of course, my deep thanks to my dear friends Bob Williams, Doug Wagner, Ira Perkins, Cuco Martinez, and Harrison Hughes, and to their families. What an amazing experience it is to be Romagossa Blú: friends, musicians, brothers.
When Pam got sick, I knew that I would have a lot of work ahead, and that Romagossa Blú would not be able to continue playing. With her so unexpected death, there is nothing I want to donow exc ept play the music she has inspired in me, as much as possible, for as long as possible. So, please, as we get up and going again, come join us. There is a lot of new music, as Pam continues to influence me and the rest of the band. We look forward to seeing you all.

Pam Sexton & Steve Cary
"Come to me love, hear the calling
Of waters that rush to the sea
Come to me love as night is falling
Come waltz on the river with me"
